ZWEIGART counted dot fabrics are available as high-quality 100% linen fabrics. They are characterized by their smooth and pleasant surface structure. Linen is noble and appreciated. The smooth surface, cool touch and fine, natural structure have facilitated the spread of linen throughout the world. With many qualities from 5.5 to 22 threads per cm we offer a wide spectrum of thick to almost transparent fabrics – with vintage structures, petit point or in a classic look. Counted stitch fabrics are craft fabrics that make counting easier, making them suitable for openwork embroidery techniques. Their plain weave is usually open and square and has a clear surface structure – the weft and warp have the same number of threads. Plain fabric has the shortest interlacing of warp and weft. Each warp and weft thread is alternately once down and once up. Additionally, almost all ZWEIGART counted stitch linen fabrics are a little firmer to make embroidery easier. It is usually embroidered over two threads of fabric. The quality of our counted stitch linen fabrics is particularly high, because we use high-quality, homogeneous linen fibers during their production.
